Your dentist will look for symptoms of gum disease, such as bleeding gums and inflammation. They will assess your risk factors for gum disease based on a conversation about your medical history and lifestyle. If advanced gum disease is diagnosed, we will create a multi-step plan to address how to treat this and to stop it from recurring.

Hove Dental Clinic is not your typical dental practice environment.
The brainchild of Dr Dimitri Mantazis, the clinic is a calm oasis that fosters both patient comfort and well-being. Our hygienist services focus on the prevention of gum disease and helping patients understand the importance of regular maintenance visits & treatments.
We take a holistic approach to dental care and reject the traditional cold and clinical settings that often make it difficult for patients to relax.
Our hygienists are passionate about helping vulnerable, nervous and neurodivergent patients have the best relationship possible with them and a dental practice environment.
All our hygienists are assisted by a dental nurse during your appointment for maximum comfort.
Whilst some dental clinics offer reduced appointment times, if you are a new patient at our clinic on Portland Road in Hove, your first appointment will be extended to last 45 minutes, but you will still be charged at the regular price.
This is to allow our hygienist to sufficiently address any issues and give you the best opportunity to get to know our team.
